What was Career and Transition Support?

Through the Career & Transition Support Program, Local Community Partnerships such as Mid Coast Youth Career Services helped young people access a range of career development and transition support programs in the local area.

Mid Coast Youth Career Services worked with schools, parents, local businesses, career associations and the broader community to improve the quality of career development and transition support.

A range of programs were available to schools and other youth groups to support and enhance the great job that our teachers and careers advisers are already doing. This support was offered as part of a school based program such as resume writing, work readiness activities or in the form of an industry focussed excursion. 

The programs also extended to giving support to teachers and parents through information sessions and industry tours.

Business Industry Showcase

This Showcase provides an opportunity for over 1000 students, parents and business representatives to build their knowledge about current and future employment opportunities in a range of industry sectors.
